Replacing Wear Plates
Remove upper wear plates (B) and replace them with new ones.
Using a suitable hoist, pull up rear upper roll to the highest position (approx. 170 mm; 6.7 in.).
Fasten front upper roll in the highest position using a wooden block.
Remove lower wear plates (C) and replace them with new ones. If total play (X) between wear plates (C) and lower rear roll (D) exceeds 3 mm (0.12 in.), reduce play on both sides by an equal amount, using shims (E).
Check stops (F) for wear and replace, if necessary.
IMPORTANT:
The front stops must protrude beyond the brackets. The upper feed rolls must not contact the lower rolls. After assembly, first rotate feed rolls by hand to check for correct location.
Make sure that feed roll swing arms are resting evenly on both sides. The upper rolls must be parallel to the lower ones. For alignment place shims under the inserts.
To assemble, reverse disassembly procedure.
