Blower and Discharge Spout - General Information

A blower directs crop coming from cutterhead or kernel processor/power chute through the discharge channel and discharge spout to the trailer.

causym CAUTION: If working on machine in blower area, use all safety precautions. Listen to alarm and read all DANGER decals at point of hazard.

To avoid serious injury do not remove or open shields until rotation warning alarm stops. Pay close attention to rotation warning alarm; it signals movement at the blower area and sounds as long as motion is detected. Blower has a "run-down" time and could continue to turn for several minutes after main clutch is disengaged and engine is shut-down.

Alarm will not sound if engine is running and operator is seated. DO NOT allow others to access blower area until engine is off and alarm has stopped sounding.

NOTE: Optional belt pulleys are available to change the fan speed from 1800 rpm to 2000 rpm. See "Harvesting Units and Attachments" Section.

To shorten "run-down" time, reduce engine speed to slow idle before disengaging main clutch.

This machine has a blower rotation alarm. Do not remove blower doors or try to access area if alarm is sounding.
