Engine Coolant

causym CAUTION: Danger of scalding! Remove radiator filler cap only when coolant temperature is below boiling point (wait a few minutes). Then loosen cap slightly to the stop to relieve pressure before removing cap.

7200 - 7300

Coolant level is monitored by sending unit (A) located in radiator expansion tank.

As soon as coolant level is more than 60 mm (2.7 in.) below upper edge of header tank, indicator light will glow and the buzzer will sound.

Always shut off engine before adding coolant.

Remove radiator cap. Coolant level must be up to the lower edge of filler neck.

7400 - 7500

Coolant level is monitored by sending unit (A) located in a separate expansion tank (capacity 8.7 L; 2.3 U.S.gal).

As soon as coolant level is more than 90 mm (3.54 in.) below upper edge of expansion tank, indicator light will glow and the buzzer will sound.

Always shut off engine before adding coolant.

Remove expansion tank cap. Coolant level must be up to the lower edge of filler neck.

Check Condition of Coolant

IMPORTANT: Regardless of the season, use only John Deere COOL-GARD ™ in the cooling system. Drain cooling system and refill with fresh coolant every 2 years.

Check condition of coolant mixture before the winter season. Coolant should protect engine against frost down to -36°C (-35°F).

Never use any cooling system sealing additives.
