Control Unit SPN FMI Pri. Indicator Light Description Effect
SPF 628 12 2   Program Memory Failure indicates that the control unit boot block detects that the application software is not executing (generated by the boot block). Control unit functions not available.
SPF 1508 00 2 Hydraulic oil temperature Hydraulic Oil Temperature (Reservoir) High indicates that the hydraulic reservoir oil temperature input is higher than 103° C (217.4° F). Hot hydraulic oil can be the cause of damage in the hydraulic system.
SPF 1713 00 2 Hydraulic oil filter Hydraulic Oil Filter Restriction Switch indicates that the hydraulic filter differential pressure input is higher than 240 +/- 30 kPa (2.4 +/- 0.3 bar) (35 +/- 4.4 psi). Reduced filter performance, unfiltered oil can be the cause of damage in the hydraulic system.
SPF 300000 14 2 Stationary knife adjust False Knock Detected Before Stationary Knife Adjust indicates that the SPFH main control unit has detected knocking before the stationary knife adjust routine begins to set the stationary knife clearance but after the cutterhead reaches the proper speed for stationary knife adjustment. Stationary knife adjust process aborted.
SPF 300002 14 2 Stationary knife adjust Left Stationary Knife Motor Failure indicates that the control unit detects that the left stationary knife motor is unable to move the stationary knife away from the cutterhead during the set stationary knife clearance process. The control unit will drive the left stationary knife motor to move the stationary knife toward the cutterhead. After detecting knocking, indicating that the stationary knife has contacted the cutterhead, the left stationary knife motor is reversed and the control unit waits for a maximum of 90 seconds for the knocking to disappear. If the knocking is still present after the 90 second period, this diagnostic trouble code is sent. Motor failure during stationary knife away process.

SPF 300003 14 2 Stationary knife adjust Right Stationary Knife Motor Failure indicates that the control unit detects that the right stationary knife motor is unable to move the stationary knife away from the cutterhead during the set stationary knife clearance process. The control unit will drive the right stationary knife motor to move the stationary knife toward the cutterhead. After detecting knocking, indicating that the stationary knife has contacted the cutterhead, the right stationary knife motor is reversed and the control unit waits for a maximum of 90 seconds for the knocking to disappear. If the knocking is still present after the 90 second period, this diagnostic trouble code is sent. Motor failure during stationary knife away process.
SPF 300004 09   Stationary knife adjust Left Stationary Knife Motor Sensor Failure indicates that while setting the stationary knife clearance the control unit does not detect 10 pulses in 2 seconds. Stationary knife adjust process will continue to set the left stationary knife clearance based on time calculation.
SPF 300005 09   Stationary knife adjust Right Stationary Knife Motor Sensor Failure indicates that while setting the stationary knife clearance the control unit does not detect 10 pulses in 2 seconds. Stationary knife adjust process will continue to set the right stationary knife clearance based on time calculation.
SPF 300006 14 3   Seat Switch Not Closed indicates that the control unit detects the operator is not seated and the operator tries to engage the feedrolls in forward or reverse.  
SPF 300007 14 2 Knife sharpen Manual Reverse At Start Up indicates that the manual cutterhead reverse switch is in on position at start up. Manual reverse at start up.
SPF 300008 14 3 Cutterhead speed Wait For Cutterhead Spin Down indicates that the cutterhead is still running AND the time for cutterhead spin down is not elapsed. Wait for cutterhead spin down.

SPF 300009 14 2 Depends on required Powr-Savr function Powr-Savr Function Denied No Powr-Savr Motor Power indicates that the control unit does not detect the voltage required to perform any powr-savr function. After accepting a request to perform a powr-savr function, the control unit will drive the powr-savr interlock relay return output AND wait for 500 milliseconds before checking the powr-savr motor power input. No powr-savr motor power, powr-savr function can not be performed.
SPF 300012 14   Stationary knife adjust Intermittent Knocking After Knocks Disappear indicates that a knock signal disappears and then reappears while moving the stationary knife away from the cutterhead during a set stationary knife clearance process. Stationary knife adjustment stops intermediately.
SPF 300013 14   Stationary knife adjust Knock During Stationary Knife Tension Release indicates that while releasing the tension on the adjusters after setting the stationary knife clearance, the control unit detects knocking.  
SPF 300014 14 3 Depends on required powr-savr function Powr-Savr Request Denied Main Clutch On indicates that the operator performs a set stationary knife clearance OR a sharpen cutterhead process AND the main clutch switch off input is not active, the main clutch switch is engaged. Requested powr-savr function can not be performed.
SPF 300015 14 3 Kernel processor adjust Kernel Processor Clearance Adjust Request Denied Main Clutch Not On indicates that the operator performs a set kernel processor clearance process and the main clutch switch off input is active, the main clutch switch is not engaged. Kernel processor adjust function can not be performed.
SPF 300016 14 3 Stationary knife adjust Stationary Knife Adjust Request Denied Sound Sending Units Failed indicates that the operator performs a set stationary knife clearance AND the control unit receives a CAN message that the sound sending units have failed. Requested powr-savr function can not be performed.

SPF 300017 14 2 Depends on required powr-savr function Powr-Savr Request Denied Quick Stop Pressed indicates that the operator performs a set stationary knife clearance OR a sharpen cutterhead process AND the quick stop button is pressed.  
SPF 300018 00 3 Depends on required powr-savr function Powr-Savr Request Denied Cutterhead Speed Too High indicates that the operator performs a set stationary knife clearance OR a sharpen cutterhead process AND the cutterhead speed is too high (outside of 60 rpm of desired speed) for a period of 30 seconds.
Once a process is running this DTC will be send when the cutterhead speed is too high (outside of 80 rpm of desired speed) for a period of 3 seconds.		 Requested powr-savr function can not be performed.
SPF 300018 01 3 Depends on required powr-savr function Powr-Savr Request Denied Cutterhead Speed Too Low indicates that the operator performs a set stationary knife clearance OR a sharpen cutterhead process AND the cutterhead speed is too low (outside of 60 rpm of desired speed) for a period of 30 seconds.
Once a process is running this DTC will be send when the cutterhead speed is too low (outside of 80 rpm of desired speed) for a period of 3 seconds.
For kernel processor clearance adjust this DTC will be send with no delay if the cutterhead speed is less than 350 rpm.		 Requested powr-savr function can not be performed.
SPF 300020 14 3   Main Clutch Denied Interlock Active indicates that the main clutch switch is on AND the cutterhead interlock relay is not latched. Reason: Cutterhead door open or main clutch on when the engine is started. Main clutch is disabled.
SPF 300021 14 3   Main Clutch Denied Engine Speed Out Of Range indicates that the main clutch switch is switched to on AND engine speed is greater than 1700 rpm. Main clutch can not be engaged, diagnostic trouble code disappears when the rpm-condition disappears.

SPF 300022 14 3   Main Clutch Denied Sharpen Door Potentiometer Failure or Open indicates that the main clutch switch is on AND the potentiometer of the sharpen door motor indicates that door is not closed (position off by more than 3% from closed position, 5% when main clutch is engaged). Sharpen door open or sharpen door potentiometer failure.
SPF 300023 14 3   Main Clutch Denied Street Mode Active indicates that the main clutch switch is on AND field mode is not active. Main clutch is disabled.
SPF 300024 14 3   Main Clutch Denied Kernel Processor Belt Not Tensioned indicates that the main clutch switch is on AND CAN message from metal detector control unit indicates that kernel processor belt is not tensioned. Main clutch can not be engaged.
SPF 300025 14 3   Main Clutch Denied Operator Seat Switch Not Closed indicates that main clutch switch is on AND the operator is not seated (when main clutch is engaged cutterhead is disabeld after 6 seconds). Main clutch is disabled, diagnostic trouble code disappears when main clutch is switched off.
SPF 300026 14 3   Turn Signal On indicates that the turn signal is activated (either direction) AND it does not change state for a time of 2 minutes.  
SPF 300027 14     Kernel Processor Option Not Available indicates that kernel processor is not installed if kernel processor adjust request is done.  
SPF 300029 14 2 Central lubrication system Automatic Lubrication Failed indicates that the SPFH main control unit did not receive pulse signal from auto lube control unit within 500 msec. (after the main clutch was off, for a minimum time of 2 seconds).  
SPF 300030 02 2 Lenght of cut Feedroll Speed Sensor Failed indicates a 3 second delay if feedrolls are turning forward, 4 second delay if feedrolls are turning in reverse.  
SPF 300031 14 3 Depends on required powr-savr function Powr-Savr Denied Field Mode Not Active indicates that a powr-savr function is requested AND field mode is not active. Requested powr-savr function can not be performed.

SPF 300032 14 2   Third Gear Switch Failure, Transmission Overspeed indicates that the 3rd gear switch is off AND the front rotation shaft speed exceeds 1000 rpm. Throttle down the engine speed to 1650 rpm.
SPF 300034 01 2 Lenght of cut IVLOC Load Pressure Low indicates that the IVLOC system control pressure is less than 1100 kPa (11 bar) (160 psi) for a period longer than 1 second. Feedroll forward operation is disabled after additional 9 seconds if pressure still too low.
SPF 300035 00 2 Lenght of cut IVLOC Hydraulic Oil Filter Pressure High indicates that the hydraulic filter differential pressure is beyond 500 kPa (5 bar) (73 psi). Reduced filter performance, no restriction on harvesting operation.
SPF 300036 03   Knife sharpen Sharpen Door Potentiometer High indicates that the sensor voltage input is above 4.9 volts. Sharpen door potentiometer failed or open curcuit.
SPF 300036 04   Knife sharpen Sharpen Door Potentiometer Low indicates that the sensor voltage input is below 0.5 volts. Sharpen door potentiometer failed or short curcuit.
SPF 300036 13 3 Knife sharpen Sharpen Door Not Calibrated indicates that the operator is trying to perform any operation that checks the position of the door AND the door is not calibrated. Automatic knife sharpening operation not possible.
SPF 300036 14 3   Sharpen Door Position Error indicates that the operator performs a knife sharpening process AND the control unit detects that the sharpen door position has not reached the opposite end of the calibration within 15 second time period during the cutterhead sharpen process.  
SPF 300037 03   Knife sharpen Sharpen Stone Potentiometer High indicates that the sensor voltage input is above 4.9 volts. Sharpen stone potentiometer failed or open curcuit.
SPF 300037 04   Knife sharpen Sharpen Stone Potentiometer Low indicates that the sensor voltage input is below 0.5 volts. Sharpen stone potentiometer failed or short curcuit.
