Replacing Threaded Bar

Remove attaching screws (A), clamp bar (B) and knife (C). Rotate threaded bar (D) 90° to the front and slide out laterally below knife retainer (E).

NOTE: With feed roll housing open, threaded bars of outer knife rows can easily be removed.

IMPORTANT: Thoroughly clean knife bed area of knife retainer and threaded bar.

Before installing new knives, check knife bed area of knife retainers using a straight edge (no deformation in this area is allowed). The knives must make good contact over the entire knife bed area.

Slide in a new threaded bar and turn.

Install knife, clamp bar and attaching screws (refer to the instructions in this Section).
