Drive spring pin (A) out of slotted nut (B).
Hold slotted nut (B) with a wrench and torque adjusting rod (C) to 20 N·m (14.7 lb-ft).
Align nearest slot in nut with hole in adjusting rod (C) and install spring pin (A).
The torque required to turn adjusting rod (C) should be 20 to 27 N·m (14.7-20 lb-ft). If torque is not in this range, remove spring pin and loosen or tighten slotted nut (B) as necessary.
Reinstall spring pin and recheck torque.
To obtain the widest possible adjusting range during operation, move adjusting device to the front as far as possible, i.e. in a position to provide maximum clearance between stationary knife and cutterhead knives.
