Servicing Your Machine

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Operating in extreme conditions may require more frequent service intervals:

· Engine components may become dirty or plugged when operating in extreme heat, dust or other severe conditions.

· Engine oil may lose efficiency if vehicle is operated constantly at slow or low engine speeds or with frequent short trips.


Please use the following timetables to perform routine maintenance on your machine.

Break In - After First 5 Hours of Operation

· Change engine oil and filter.

· Check for loose hardware.

Every 10 Hours

· Lubricate front wheel spindles.

Every 25 Hours

· Check tire pressure.

· Check safety systems.

· Check and clean air cleaner element.

· Check battery electrolyte level.

· 38-Inch and 42C decks: Check spindle brake measurement.

· When operating tractor in extremely dusty or dirty conditions, change engine oil and filter.

50 Hours or Annually (whichever comes first)

· Change engine oil and filter.

· Freedom42 Deck: Lubricate mower spindles.

· Lubricate lift pedal grease fitting.

100 Hours

· Change fuel filter.

· Change air cleaner element.

· Clean battery.

· Check spark plug.

· Freedom42 Deck: Inspect blade timing and adjust timing belt tension.

· Clean engine cooling fins.

Yearly - As Required

· Inspect belts/replace.
