ASSEMBLY

Prior to delivery, do the following checks, clean tractor and review this manual with the owner/operator. Make sure owner/operator can safely operate every function of this machine.

Check Fluid Levels


IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Check all fluid levels before attempting to start tractor. Tractor should be parked on level surface, all attachments lowered, and engine off.

1. CHECK RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL. If engine is warm, coolant level should be between the FULL line and the LOW line on the coolant overflow tank. If engine is cold, coolant level should be at the LOW line on the coolant overflow tank. Add coolant as necessary. See Checking Radiator Coolant Level in the Service Engine section for additional information.


IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! If oil level is at or below "L" mark, DO NOT start engine.

2. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL. Oil level should be inbetween the "ADD" and "FULL" marks on dipstick. Add oil as necessary. See Checking Engine Oil Level in the Service Engine section for additional information.


IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! DO NOT start engine if transmission oil level is low.

3. CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL. Transmission oil level should be to the top of the XX area of the transmission dipstick. Add oil as necessary. See Checking Hydrostatic Transmission Oil Level in the Service Transmission section for additional information.

4. CHECK FRONT AXLE OIL LEVEL. Front axle oil level should be to the top of the XX area of dipstick. Do not screw in dipstick when checking oil. Add oil as necessary. See Checking The Front Axle Oil Level in the Service Transmission section for additional information.

Checking Battery


IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Check fuel tank contains fuel before attempting to start engine. Add fuel as necessary.

NOTE: For additional battery information see the Service Electrical section of this manual.

2. If engine will not turn over and headlights are dim or will not turn on-charge the battery.


c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Prevent Battery Explosions: Keep sparks, lighted matches, and open flame away from the top of battery. Battery gas can explode. Never check battery charge by placing a metal object across the posts. Use a volt-meter or hydrometer. Do not charge a frozen battery; it may explode. Warm battery to 16 degrees C (60 degrees F).

3. Charge the battery for a minimum of 30 minutes at 5-10 amps. If your battery charger has a Deep Cycle or Maintenance Free setting, use this setting to charge the battery.

Check Safety Interlock System

Check All Lights

Check Wheel Bolt Torque

Does Tractor Have Proper Ballast ?

If tractor is being delivered with an attachment, make sure attachment is properly installed. See attachment Operator's Manual.

If tractor is being delivered with an attachment, make sure tractor has the proper ballast. For information on Front and Rear Ballast see the Operating Machine section of this manual.
