Service Steering & BrakesAdjusting Steering Effort (Model 325)To adjust steering effort for your comfort level do the following steps: 2. Remove capscrew and washer (B). 3. Move rod (C) to desired hole. 4. Install capscrew and tighten to 81 Nˇm (60 lb-ft). The steering effort can be adjusted to minimize and reduce free play as follows: ˇ Top Hole (D): Steering response will be slower but effort will be easier because it will take more turns of the steering wheel to turn the tractor. Use this hole when heavy loads are applied to front of tractor such as a snowthrower. ˇ Lower Hole (E): You will obtain quicker steering response but effort will be higher because it will take fewer turns of the steering wheel to turn the tractor. Use this hole when using light duty attachments such as a mower. |
