Removing Belt
c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Avoid bodily injury. POWER FLOW unit has sharp edges. Wear gloves or wrap cloth over edges to avoid injury.

NOTE: POWER FLOW chute removed for photo clarity. Belt can be removed when blower is attached to deck.
1. Push lever to release belt tension. Lift plastic belt shield. Remove belt from double sheave.
2. Open housing cover by pulling
up at point (A); down and out at
point (D). Swing cover open.
3. Pull sheave retainer bracket (B) on blower housing access plate out and downward.If necessary, bend idler retainer brackets (C) out carefully to remove belt.
Installing Belt
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Belt MUST be installed correctly for blower operation. Belt retainers MUST not touch sheave or belt. |
1. Put new belt around sheaves. If idler retainer brackets (B) were bent when removing, bend brackets to original position to keep belt on sheaves. Slide retainer (A) on blower access plate towards sheave to lock.
2. Put belt under rear support tube (C) and cross belt as shown. Put belt on double sheave. Close plastic belt shield.
