To be used only with mulching kit. Install Mower Deck Lip SectionsOptional bolt-on lip sections provide various advantages when bagging. Lip kits are not available for all deck models. See your John Deere Dealer for availability. For more information, see Bagging With Bolt-On Lip Sections in the OPERATING section. If your tractor is equipped a 42C mower deck, a rear lip section has been provided with the bagger chute. Install this lip section to ensure proper bagging performance with 42C mower decks. If necessary, see Install Rear Lip Section (42C Mowers Only) in the ASSEMBLY section. Install Proper BallastInstall the proper front ballast to help counter-balance the total weight of the material collection system. Remove ballast when the material collection system is removed. This will ensure proper operation of the machine when not bagging. Riding Mowers (GX, SX, RX, and SRX Series)Front weight kit (A) is required for all riding mowers when bagging.
