Delivery Instructions

Prior to delivery, perform the listed service checks, clean the utility vehicle and review this manual with the owner/operator. Make sure the owner/operator can safely operate this utility vehicle.

Check Fluid Levels

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Check all fluid levels before attempting to start the utility vehicle.

Utility vehicle should be parked on a hard, level surface with the park brake locked and the key switch in the "STOP" position.

1. CHECK RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL. If engine is warm, coolant level should be between the "FULL" line and the "LOW" line on the coolant recovery bottle. If engine is cold, coolant level should be at the "LOW" line on the coolant recovery bottle. Add specified ratio of antifreeze and water as necessary. See Checking Coolant Level in the Service Engine section for additional information.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! If oil level is at or below "L" mark, do not start engine.

2. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL. Oil level should be between the ADD and FULL marks on the dipstick. Add oil as necessary. See Checking Engine Oil Level in the Service Engine section for additional information.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Do not start engine if transmission oil level is low.

3. CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL. Transmission oil level should be to the top of the FULL line on the transmission dipstick. Add oil as necessary. See Checking Transmission Oil Level in the Service Transmission section for additional information.
4. CHECK FRONT AXLE OIL LEVEL. Front axle oil level should be to the top of the XX area of dipstick. Do not tighten dipstick when checking oil. Add oil as necessary. See Checking the Front Axle Oil Level in Service Transmission section for additional information.

Checking the Battery

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Keep sparks, lighted matches, and open flame away from the top of battery. Battery gas can explode.

Never check battery charge by placing a metal object across the posts. Use a volt-meter or hydrometer.

Do not charge a frozen battery; it may explode. Warm battery to 16°C (60°F).

NOTE: For additional battery information see the Service-Electrical section in this manual.

1. If engine will not turn over and headlights are dim or will not turn on-charge the battery.

2. Charge the battery for a minimum of 30 minutes at 5-10 amps. If your battery charger has a Deep Cycle or Maintenance Free setting, use this setting to charge the battery.

Check Battery Voltage

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Prevent battery explosions:

· Keep sparks, lighted matches, and open flame away from the top of battery. Battery gas can explode.

· Never check battery charge by placing a metal object across the posts. Use a volt-meter or hydrometer.

· Do not charge a frozen battery; it may explode. Warm battery to 16°C (60°F).

Battery is filled with acid and charged when it left the factory. To extend battery life, check voltage prior to delivery. Fully charge the battery if voltage is less than 12.6 volts.

Check Safety Interlock System

For a complete checkout procedure of the safety interlock system, see Testing the Safety Interlock System in the Operating section.

Check Wheel Hardware Torque

For complete instructions and specifications on how to properly torque the wheel bolts, see Tightening Wheel Hardware in the Service-Miscellaneous section.

Check Tire Pressure

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Explosive separation of tire and rim parts is possible when they are serviced incorrectly:

· Do not attempt to mount a tire without the proper equipment and experience to perform the job.

· Do not inflate the tires above the recommended pressure.

· Do not weld or heat a wheel and tire assembly. Heat can cause an increase in air pressure resulting in an explosion. Welding can structurally weaken or deform the wheel.

· Do not stand in front or over the tire assembly when inflating. Use a clip-on chuck and extension hose long enough to allow you to stand to one side.

1. Check tires for damage.

2. Check tire pressure with an accurate gauge.

3. Add or remove air, if necessary.

Install Cargo Box

For complete instructions on installing the cargo box, see Installing the Cargo Box in the Service-Miscellaneous section.
