Servicing the Utility Vehicle

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Help prevent serious injury or death from an electrical shock or electrocution. This utility vehicle is equipped with a 48 volt electrical system which is capable of passing a high voltage electrical current. Always use extreme caution when servicing the battery set in this vehicle.

Only trained technicians or owners that have knowledge and experience with electrical maintenance should repair or service this vehicle.

Failure to perform necessary vehicle maintenance could result in damage to the vehicle or severe personal injury or death. DO NOT operate the vehicle if a problem is detected that could threaten the safety of the operator or the reliability of the vehicle.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! If you operate in extreme heat, dust or other severe conditions, service more often than shown below.


Please use the following timetables to perform routine maintenance on your utility vehicle.

INTERVAL

SERVICE

Break-In Service by Owner (After First 10 Hours)

Wheels

Check wheel hardware torque and tighten.

Tires

Check tire pressure.

General Vehicle

Check and tighten vehicle hardware.

Daily Service by Owner

Batteries

Check charger and vehicle battery receptacle for damage.

Visually inspect condition of batteries.

Charge battery set.

Brake System

Check operation of park brake.

Check operation of foot brake pedal.

Steering & Linkages

Check for proper operation.

Accelerator Pedal

Check for proper operation.

Tires

Check for damage or cracking.

General Vehicle

Check for missing or damaged parts.

Clean operator's station.

Safety Labels

Make sure all are properly installed.

Roll Away Alarm

Check for proper operation.

Charger Interlock

Check for proper operation.

Reverse Warning Alarm

Check for proper operation.

Weekly Service by Owner

General Vehicle

Check and tighten vehicle hardware.

Batteries

Wash down batteries, battery terminals and battery compartment.

Check battery electrolyte levels.

Check all daily service requirements

Monthly Service by Owner or Trained Technician

Batteries

Clean batteries, battery terminals and battery compartment with baking soda/water solution.

Tires

Check for wear and damage.

Check tire pressure.

Check all daily and weekly service requirements

Semi-Annual Service by Owner or Every 50 Hours (Whichever Comes First)

Wheels

Check wheel hardware torque and tighten.

Steering

Lubricate front king pins.

Check all daily, weekly and monthly service requirements

Semi-Annual Service by Trained Technician Every 50 Hours

Batteries

Tighten terminal connections.

Tighten hold downs.

Check electrolyte levels.

Check specific gravity.

Electrical Wiring

Check electrical wiring for cracked or worn insulation.

Check all daily, weekly and monthly service requirements

Annual Service by Owner or Every 200 Hours (Whichever Comes First)

Transaxle

Change transaxle oil.

Check all daily, weekly and monthly service requirements

As Needed Service by Owner

Cargo Box

Adjust cargo box latch.

As Needed Service by Owner

Transaxle

Check transaxle oil level if leaks are detected.

As Needed Service by Trained Technician

Batteries

Replace battery(s).
