Removing 60 Inch Mower DeckRemoving Mower Deck3. Remove retaining ring (A) holding rear hanger pin (B) to left and right side mower deck adjustment plates. 4. Lift rear of deck slightly, and remove pin from plate. Set rear of deck down on rear gauge wheel. 5. Remove spring pin (C) from lift arm pins (D) on left and right side of mower deck. 6. Lift and latch the seat platform in the highest position. 7. Disconnect mower deck driveshaft (E) from the vehicle PTO shaft (F) by pulling forward on the the sleeve (G), while pulling forward on the driveline. 8. Push on the two halfs of the driveline to compress the splines. 9. Lower the seat. Start engine and raise lift arms. Stop engine. 10. Lift driveshaft to clear Front Mower transaxle, and roll mower deck away from Front Mower. Storing The Mower Deck1. Remove the belt shields. Clean the top and the underside of the mower. 2. Check the blades. If necessary, remove, sharpen, and balance the blades. 3. Replace badly worn or damaged parts. 4. Apply paint to areas that need it to prevent rust. 5. Lubricate the grease points. 6. Use a spring puller to remove the end of the belt tension spring from its bracket. Removing Lift Arms1. Remove mower deck from lift arms. (See "Removing Mower Deck" in this section.) 4. Remove spring pin (A). Hold weight of lift arms up slightly while removing drilled pin (B) from lift cylinder. Set ends of lift arms down on ground. 5. Place a floor jack or blocks under center of lift arms, before removing four cap screws (C) and saddle blocks holding lift arm to Front Mower.
